7.1.2010Hotter than hell . . .
Call for Art - A end of summer show sponsored by SMAACC Theme: Its hotter than hell... so what the hell... lets have a show. (Imagery or subject matter can directly or loosely include reference to hot, hell, etc. - it is your take on the theme) Where: Peanut Building, 114 N. Houston, next to the Katy Depot, Denison, Texas. Deliver work no later than 4pm, Tuesday, August 10 Reception: 7pm to 9pm, Friday, August 13, 2010 How long does the show run? We will worry about that later. The Hotter than hell... exhibit is open to all artists 18 years and older. You do not have to be a member of the Sunday Morning Art and Coffee Club to exhibit. By the way, we have been meeting for over 4 years now, every Sunday morning from 9am to 11 or 11:30am at Panera Bread in Town Center in Sherman. Everyone is welcome. No dues, no secret handshake, no set agenda.... just coffee, bagels, and conversation with other artists. Limit two pieces per artist. All work must be ready to hang. Please no wet paint, no saw tooth hangers, no stapled wires, no adhesive strips on the back of foam core, no photo frames with the little hole or the triangular swivel hanger, no wires strung so loose that the hanger shows when you hang the work.... just put two freaking eye screws (screwed securely into the back of the frame) with real corded hanging wire.
